Review: Jessy – Savage (Produced by King One Beatz)
Jessy of Bless Nation has released 'Savage' produced by King One Beatz. Song replies Keeny Ice's controversial 'Barcode' released a few days ago.
Jessy happens to be the first rapper to put out a reply to Keeny Ice’s “Barcode” which obviously a general diss song to all Volta rappers. Jessy calls his reply ‘Savage’ produced by King One Beatz. Believe it or not, the lyrical war is boiling up and most rappers are taking a few winks and decide when to release a reply.
Jessy basically talked about things which made me believe he got part of the lyrics written even before Keeny Ice released “Barcode”. He focused on the Volta Music Awards and cried out about people not supporting people like him and more. I expected Jessy to show us who he is and not play the victim here. I think he made a couple of contradictions with the awards part as well.
All he should have done is to prove his lyrical dexterity and make Keeny Ice’s verses on “Barcode” look soft. Aside these things, I think Jessy got style and his energy was felt on the song. I can feel the anger and pain combined with his voice and this makes it obvious that he planned this for a longer time before Keeny Ice’s release. I might be wrong about this but there is a huge chance.
If you’d ask me, I will say Jessy nailed the rap but failed to attack the offender fully. I love his energy and the confidence in his voice which got delivered with style. In my opinion, Jessy will get 7.5/10 for this. Share your ratings with us after listening.
