Listen: Kobby Shady ‘Hidden Colours’ Prod. by Snoopp Manny
Rising Hip-Hop artiste known as Kobby Shaddy releases 'Hidden Colours' produced by Snoopp Manny which is off hiw maiden album.
‘Hidden Colours’ is the first song that comes of Kobby Shady’s debut album “Soul Documentary”. In the song, he makes revelations alluding to a world full of racial injustices, prejudices, and deception, which has been a delusion on his people and has preyed on the self-consciousness of the people of Africa and for that matter, all people of African descent.
This he believes has captured his people into a systemic oppression in this modern-day. Strong references made to the menace of slavery, colonization, and what seems to him, the practically double-standardized teachings of foreign missionaries in Africa many years back.
Kobby Shady proceeds to make a confident declaration of self-knowledge and full consciousness of his identity as a proud African. Profound acknowledgements made in respect of the efforts of great African freedom-fighters and revolutionists including the likes of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Marcus Garvey (ONH), and Hon. Louis Farrakhan.
Nothing could numb the emotional stress and the feeling of resentment by Kobby Shady as he resonates the consequences of Curaçao Slave Revolt of 1795 which led to the immense torture of the leader of the revolt, Tula, and the massacre of the slaves.
In the last lines, Kobby Shady laments the struggles, toil, and ruination of the souls of Africans enslaved and victimized many years back, while praying that the good Lord keep their souls safe. Moreover, pledges made to carry on his ancestors traditions and to continue the battle for total liberation of all African people. Stream music below and download from his AudioMack HERE
