The much awaited mind blowing and mind bugling ‘Oracle’ album conceived 4 years ago by Sedi, who has come to be known as Komfopanyin (chief priest/ high priest) through his works is finally here. ‘Oracle’ which is a total work of art is of top-notch instrumentation and very rich content mostly proverbial, philosophical, political and spiritual which is sure to make the album one of the best and to stand the test of time just like works from Bob Marley who inspires Sedi a lot.
Unlike the 5-track Sedi E.P he released earlier this year, the ‘Oracle’ album done 90% in the twi (asante and akuapem) dilect widely spoken in Ghana and has 11 tracks including 2 hiphop songs. The album features Sarah Xali of mtnhitmaker6 fame, Peter Karbonu a multi-instrumentalist and Chessed an unsinged artist based in Madina.
The public’s reception after the release of two singles ‘Obossom’ and ‘Diwoho nni’ from the album earlier in the year proved Sedi had achieved his aim of winning new fans outside the regular poetry and spoken-word circles and the amount of time spent with his producer TwistedWavex who also worked on the “Onipa Akoma” album by Akan, is worth it. The ‘Oracle’ album surely sets Sedi apart in the Ghana music industry with his originality and uniqueness. Download the album, enjoy and keep sharing…
