Sarkodie Talks More About ‘Highest’ Album With Tim Westwood
Sarkodie got interviewed on TimWestwoodTV prior to the release of his mega album titled 'Highest' and spoke about some of the songs and why the album was made.
Popular English DJ and presenter known as Tim Westwood had Sarkodie on his show before the release of the biggest album of the year titled ‘Highest‘. Sarkodie talked about the inspiration behind the album, why the album cover art had his daughter on it and his opinion on UK Afrobeats.
Sarkodie told Tim Westwood that, the ‘Highest’ album is basically about him and his state of mind at the moment; and he crowned the situation with his daughter who has changed his life. He also said that, the happiness of having a daughter changed him from who he was and this is why he had her on the cover art.
Sarkodie also revealed that, the song “Baby Mama” off the album happened for real and it’s really about Tracy his girlfriend. He wrote that song in a “difficult” time because he tried hard to resist “Temptation” and “Torture” by his girlfriend because he wasn’t supposed to “Touch” her for few weeks after she gave birth to Titi (Their Daughter) He narrated the story in details.
He explained the song “Love Yourself”, talked about why he had to put some Afrobeats songs on the album and shared his opinion on why he thinks Afrobeats should stay Afrobeats and not “UK Afrobeats” or “Afro Wave”. Check out the full interview below.
