According to reactions and short videos we’ve seen flooding social media, we can tell “Ghana Meets Naija UK” was successful and once again, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale represented Ghana well in their respective ways. We at Loud Sound GH applaud both artistes for tearing up the stage and making UK roar throughout their separate performances.
One issue that interestingly became a topic among us is, what Stonebwoy wore to stage. We believe it’s a rain coat and not to judge right away, we decided to do a little looking around and our analysis got interesting as we dug in deeper.
First of all, why would one wear a rain coat on stage when we don’t know of any of his songs that talks about rain or storm. We decided to check some of his latest posts and found out one hashtag #ReigningSeason (Which sounds like Raining Season). So we assumed he wants to depict that by wearing what we think is a rain coat.
But that is not enough reason for him to wear a “Rain coat” on stage. Just few minutes into his performance he took off the coat (We mean the raincoat) and that means it was getting warmer than he thought (Maybe). But why would the BET award winner wear a raincoat on stage?
This is what we found out… We spent hours looking through online shops for rain coats and guess what we found? Something very similar or perhaps a new or different design of what Stonebwoy had on. Understanding why light rays could penetrate through Stonebwoy’s “rain coat” and was flexible enough, we got to know that, the rain coat is handmade in rubberized cotton, comes unlined, with double welded seams, snap closures and cotton drawstrings.
So it’s very possible Stonebwoy wore a rain coat on stage but not just any raincoat! The rain coat costs £245 which is about 1,300 GHc. (For just a rain coat k3k3 oooo) and the Designer’s name is “Alexander Stutterheim” So we believe Stonebwoy wore that to show the world he has a £245 rain coat or just want to get us talking which he has succeeded in doing. At least he got us…
We’ve not had an up-close view of Stonebwoy’s coat/jacket/raincoat and haven’t touched it either. These are close observations by the Loud Sound Gh team and we can’t confirm if indeed it’s a raincoat or it just looks like one. And to the Copy and Paste bloggers, don’t attempt copying this. Thanks!
