Stonebwoy Nominated For BET Awards 2017 (Best International Act)
Ghanaian dancehall star; Stonebwoy, grabs another nomination at this year's BET Awards (Best International Act) with other notable African artistes.
Stonebwoy of Burniton Music Group got nominated once again for the “Best International Act (Africa)” category at this year’s BET Awards. The Reggae/Dancehall artiste got nominated in 2015 and won the award. He missed out on nominations last year (2016) but fortunately got into the nomination spot once again this year. Other artistes nominated are Wizkid (Nigeria), Tekno (Nigeria), Mr Eazi (Nigeria), Davido (Nigeria), AKA (South Africa), Nasty C (South Africa) and Babes Wodumo (South Africa).
Stonebwoy has undoubtedly worked hard throughout the years and had very remarkable features, shows, and more international recognitions. Stonebwoy few days ago, posted an article on his Facebook page which outlined some of the things he has done so far with his career and it got Ghana talking and tagging him “desperate” for the awards. The twist is, someone wrote the piece and Stonebwoy failed to acknowledge the writer when sharing thus, making it look like he was blowing his own trumpet.
He has really put Ghana on the map with his collaborations with international artistes. Stonebwoy is the only Ghanaian on Morgan Heritage‘s new album titled “Avrakedabra”. He has shot a couple of music videos with some great artistes in Jamaica as well. Stonebwoy have worked hard and he sure deserves the nomination. We pray he gets the nod and wins the award too… Check the nominees and more on the BET official website.
