Manifest Opened Our Eyes At “Ghana Meets Naija” Event
Ghanaian music star; Manifest, pulled a stunning performance at the just ended "Ghana Meets Naija" event which took place on Saturday 27th May 2017 at the Accra International Conference Center.
Music is a beautiful thing and an adorable form or art… A performing artist adds the beautiful icing to the cake. In Ghana, we have many entertainers who basically get on stage to pull stunts and get the audience roaring and not necessarily about the lyrics in the song but by their gestures which most times has nothing to do with contents of the song they are performing.
Manifest appeared and everything changed. His performance at the just ended “Ghana Meets Naija” is one of the best if the not the best at the event. His gestures, pitch level, coördination, and all of those were superb!
Every song he performed had its unique gestures and movement; and communication between him and the instrumentalists was accurate! Smooth transition from song to song and from Live Band to Deejay… The audience felt the Deejay’s presence because he had some few seconds to flex his turntable game. A performance without a hitch or break at any point! The idea wasn’t to jump around the stage but depicting lyrics in the songs…
Performing arts separates the boys from the men and takes an experienced artist to pull a marvelous performance. Not everyone is a performing artist but almost everyone can become an entertainer or a party starter on stage… All you need is an easy-to-sing-along song which is well hyped. Ghanaians enjoy sounds than music contents and that is not even something to debate on.
Well informed celebrities, music professionals, writers and music critics will point out Manifest’s performance as one of the best or the best. It’s about time our artists learn from Manifest and get on stage ready and well-organized. We need to witness the beauty of performing arts… We will see Manifest at the Grammys soon… Watch his performance below…
