Ras Lipo – Vim Dey (People Dey Cover)
Fast rising dancehall artiste; Ras Lipo, has released his version of “People Dey” originally done by Stonbwoy and calls his version ‘Vim Dey’.
The truth is, the dancehall genre has become one of the most popular genres in Ghana, and that has made an “Ocean” of dancehall artistes flooding our airwaves with different styles, voices and messages. You certainly need to stand tall to be seen standing out of the multitude. Ras Lipo seems to be gaining height ever since he made an official appearance into the dancehall fraternity.
‘Vim Dey‘ is a Ghanaian pijin slang which can be translated as “There Is Hope” (In this context). He talks about having hope for the future and working hard towards achieving his dreams. I think Ras Lipo is multi-skilled when it comes to his lyrical delivery… These are some of the few qualities that are helping in making him stand tall among the lot. Listen to the music below and keep an eye on this artiste.
