Listen: Did Eyi Dissed All Female Rappers On ‘Im Back’ ?
It has been argued that, there is no competition among the female rappers; and others have said they are not active or consistent with releases. Looks like Eyi; formerly known as Eyirap, is up for the task and daring all the female rappers in Ghana.
This single got to us through one of our “Studio-Spiders” and apparently, Eyi made this song to announce her come back after a long break from the music scene. What kept her mute for all these while, is not yet known to us because, we have been trying to contact her for the past 48 hours and we had no response from her.
If I understood the lyrics well, Eyi announced her come-back into the music scene, talking about how ready she is to repair the female rap scene and to teach these other rappers how to raise the bars. She said since she left, the Femcee world diminished and almost invisible now. She made some interesting utterances which got me thinking like… “Ah… Did she mix both rap and dancehall artistes together?”
Eyi said something like “When she left the game, they couldn’t make any progress” (Translated from TWI) and later said “Best Female Rapper, wo da mu kwa… Oh Gyae wo ye loser” Meaning “Best Female Rapper, you are just hanging in there… You are such a loser“… She also said something which made me think she was telling Kaakie she is a weak “Disser”. People, the song is right here… Check it out and tell us what you think…
