Spotlight On AYAT… The HipHop Messenger
I would want us all to witness an exceptional talent called AYAT… The HipHop artist has been blessed officially by the Hiphop culture and he is here to share an interesting message with us.
It is a fact that, being unique as an artist in Ghana, draws black clouds on you until those clouds are blown away with hard-work and determination. AYAT is an exceptional artist and narrates the Hiphop story in a way we can all relate to. Coming from Madina, a suburb of Accra, he has represented that image in both his lyrics and appearance.
I got to know about this talented rapper back in 2014 when he was known as Billy Banger. He has always been unique from day one and even after changing his stage name, he holds on to the same legacy. Some of his releases between 2014 and 2015 includes “Party At 6“, “Ma Checke“, “All Night” and a joint EP he made with Mal and Mike Millz titled “The TrapLife 2.0”
Fast forward 2016, AYAT re-branded himself and surprised us all with top-notch releases which includes the hit single “IDKY” ( I Don’t Know You ) which was done with Kayso. This song is spreading like wildfire and has been applauded by industry professionals like Da’ Hammer of the Last 2 and Top HipHop artists such as C-Real, Manifest and more…
AYAT and Kayso have released other singles like “My Girl” and “Let Them Know“… He has gained even more recognition this year and has been featured on a couple of songs. Some of the most popular songs that featured AYAT are “EGBOAME” by Edem which also had other great rappers on it, “Bakwana” by King Of Accra which also had Recognize Ali on it, and “K3 Ke Mi” by Kuvie which featured MOE as well.
AYAT is a Hiphop messenger; and his duty is to deliver those messages with style and passion. He stands for the culture and there is no chance we can get his kind in the music scene even if people start following his trend. Below is the music video for “IDKY” (I Don’t Know You).
