Jayso – Preach (Take Over Cover)
Jayso made some shocking revelations in this new cover song he title ‘Preach’ which clearly took shots at EL, Manifest and his main man Sarkodie. The rapper got personal along the line and opened up on some issues.
The Hiphop community have been excited about this whole “Beef” thing since that is the only way to measure an artist’s lyrical prowess and depicts the art of addressing issues on a beat. Jayso is like a godfather to the Hiphop world and that is no secrete… The Skillions had almost all the Hiphop artists we can boast of in the country right now. So, I will say this song is just Jayso talking about things which does’t add up.
He started of throwing jabs at Manifest… He played sarcasm when he said “god MC, Jay Hov please forgive him” And this will mean there is only one “god MC” and that is Jay Z. He went on to call him “Lil Solja” and said he is not ready to face the Skillions. In a nut shell, Manifest is not even close to a “god MC” and should stop calling himself one.
Some jabs were thrown at EL as well… I am not sure if the entire verse was thrown at him; but it has something to do with snatching other people’s girls and doing dance songs when they were rapping. I think this was directed at EL because he dropped Hiphop and started doing Afrobeat. It wasn’t clear enough since most of the things are more personal than what it looks like on the outside.
On Sarkodie’s issue, he told him point blank that, he is not a REAL King if he claims he is. He also said money and fame has gotten into his head and his ego has grown. He went all out on Sarkodie and said he has betrayed their friendship so that he can trend alone. I guess we all know the story of their joint album which never happened. He also said the beat for “Bossy” was produced long ago and he told Manifest about it. He knew Sarkodie gave him props on the song so why did he attack back with a diss? I think this is pretty complicated to analyze since he combines more than 2 issues in one verse. listen and leave your opinions below…
