I Want To Revive Folktales With My Music -: Baafour
Baafour, a talented recording and performing artist, disclosed that his intention is to revive Folktales with his music.
Making good music has always been a priority topic for discussion in the music industry and EAB Records recording and performing artist Baafour, has made it an integral part of him to make that mark.
He has been commended by many music lovers and pundits for his silky voice and melodious songs but he elaborates on the fact that his greatest musical asset is not just to sing but his ability to tell stories.
Taking inspiration from great musicians like Akwasi Ampofo Agyei, Nana kwame Ampadu, Obuoba J A Adofo and Okomfour kwaadee, He tries to tell good stories in his music. He disclosed that when writing his music, his main aim is to convey real life stories that the masses can relate to.
The contemporary High-Life rising star included that one of his priorities as a musician is to expose and introduce the younger generation to the folktales years which is being missing in recent times through his music.
“Ezegu, is a re-branding of the kwaku Ananse character in our folk tales” – He said. “This was just to make it more appealing and attractive to the younger generation and remind the old folks through music.” He added.
