Pappy Kojo – Nyame Bra ( Music Video )
Pappy Kojo makes a power ‘Re-Introduction’ with his new music video for the song ‘Nyame Bra’ directed by Abstrakte. This looks more like the opening of a new chapter in his music career or even his personal life…
I actually had to watch this video twice just to get hold of the lyrics and how the scenes are related to them… The first thing I heard myself saying was “This is Music“… Pappy Kojo introduced a modernized and refreshing form of Hiphop just a couple of years ago with the support of his right hand man; Joey B. He infected the whole country with the new style of music and it was widely accepted by almost everybody.
I think he is back with something which will be embraced as well because, it’s even more appealing to the ears and got all the needed elements to add that “Hip” touch. ‘Nyame Bra’ is from the Akan language which means “God Come” or “Come God”… It’s basically calling on God to rescue or intervene in a situation. From what I saw in this music video and what he spoke about, I think he is saying that, he is trapped in the midst of “Inactive” people or Ghosts who are not “Alive” enough to know or understand him (Maybe musically or personally)
Some of the lyrics attacked some artists saying; they can’t even compose a full song. The video saw Pappy Kojo pulling a sizable amount of load through a bunch of onlookers who are more likely Ghosts or statues? He dropped the who struggle along the way and moved on.
