VGMA Thinks ‘Hand To Mouth’ is Bigger Than ‘Yakubu’ ? – Kwaw Kese

The 2016 edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards ( VGMA ) might be over but the aftermath will always be “cloudy”. This is nothing surprising since we have been experiencing this for some years now.

Bloggers, critics, entertainment gurus, and icons have shared their opinions about the award ceremony which took place at the Conference Center on Saturday May 7th 2016. We saw or heard both positive and negative remarks.

Ghanaian Hiplife/Hiphop artist; Kwaw Kese has bitterly expressed his displeasure in the organizers of the VGMA. According to a couple of tweets he made, Sarkodie‘s song “Hand To Mouth” which won “Hiphop Song Of The Year” is no where near his Hiphop banger “Yakubu“… I guess this has nothing to do with Sarkodie because he was featured on the said Hiphop banger; ‘Yakubu‘…

I can say lots of people have debated about this and from some of the comments I read and rants I heard,  Sarkodie’s “Hand To Mouth” shouldn’t have won that category… After Kwaw Kese‘s tweets he received some attacks and earned some thumbs ups as well.

Meanwhile, he is still promoting his latest music video “Ruff” which I will classify as another HipHop banger! But… Do you think Kwaw Kese has a valid argument? And do you think this will affect the relationship between him and Sarkodie? We would love to read you comments! Watch “Ruff” below and don’t forget to share your comments with us.
