Opera Singer; Nino, gives hope to Black Entertainment
Ghanaian Opera singer Nino took off the stage with the first performance of the night at the 11 Annual Screen Nation Awards at the London Hilton Metropole.
Nino opened the ceremony with the Classic hit song “SOMEWHERE” which took the audience on a journey of hope for black talent. The audience was captivated by Nino’s surprising unique voice. Among those impressed was X Factor Judge Sinitta who called Nino’s stunning performance her favourite of the night.
Another celebrity who was mesmerized by Nino’s vocals was Actress and Songstress Beverley Knight who said The song “Somewhere” is her classic favourite of all time.The Opera singer performed for a host of Celebrity Guests including John Boyega, Simon Webbe, Ainsely Harriot, Alison Hammond and many more.
Described by BBC as Ghanaian Opera Singer challenging global perceptions, Nino is still on the rise in an industry where black opera singers are not given a chance or appreciated.
