Edem – Nana Ebaa ( Prod by KemenyaTVee )
Edem has unleashed the much anticipated controversial single “Nana Ebaa” produced by KemenyaTVee…
When Edem released the artwork and title of this song, it brought a lot of controversies even before people heard its contents… The song was easily connected to presidential candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
That was very obvious because, Edem used his image as the the cover art which depicted the opposition leader wearing a crown. Especially when 2016 is an Election year, we all predicted the song will be politically related.
But listening to the song, I have divided opinions. Its either Edem is saying he is the presidential candidate who might win the elections this year or, He is calling himself “NANA” which means Kings in the Akan language.
This is where everything gets confusing… If Edem was talking about “Kingship”, he could have used any Volta Region Chief or the Asante Hene if he wants to use something from the Ashanti Region. Using the presidential candidate still leaves question marks in my head. Check out ‘Nana Ebaa’ and tell us what you think.
