Watch: Wiyaala Featured on CNN African Voices

Award winning Ghanaian Pop artist; Noella Wiyaala was next to be featured on CNN’s documentary series “African Voices” which I believe is designed to keep focus on Africa and to acknowledge some influential personalities and people who has built a whole new world with their talents. In the interview, Wiyaala explained the kind of music she does is pop music; but since she sings in her local language most times and fuse in more African instruments, she decided to call it African Pop Music.

Today, I got to know Wiyaala is the only artist in the world singing “Sissala” and I also discovered she designs her own stage costumes. Wiyaala spoke about her childhood days when she will sing and dance and sing for people at a “Pito” bar and make money from it.
