5 Most Funniest Rappers In Ghana. #Opinions
Music is art and it is demonstrated in various ways. Everyone has his/Her personal reason why they fall in love with a song. Others just follow the crowd because everyone is talking about that song. I listen to songs because of the humour attached to it, the story told and the style in which the rap verses were laid. In no particular order, below are 5 artists I find very hilarious and could listen to some of their songs over and over without getting tired of listening.
SARKODIE: Humour has been Sarkodie’s strongest weapon since he started doing music. Believe it or not, the rapper is one of the funniest artists in Ghana and it may be the main reason why lots of music lovers want to listen to his songs all the time and the reason why they can easily memorize his lyrics. Even on his most “serious” songs, he does not leave out the humour. The song below is what I find to be the most funniest songs from him.
YAA PONO: Nobody Bad!!! This rapper almost sounds like writing rap verses is the easiest thing to do on earth. He makes sure there is humour in every rap verse! Yaa Pono adds more metaphors to his humour and that makes me enjoy listening to him more. If you dont find Yaa Pono to be funny, then your “Funny Bone” might probably be broken! Check out one of my favourite songs from Yaa Pono below.
FOKN Bois: M3nsah and Wanlov The Kubolor are the most “annoyingly” funniest rappers in Ghana. You may not want to step on their toes no matter what your opinion about them may be. They are the first to introduce a comedy musical movie done in the Ghanaian Pijin language. Funny people do comedy things and they take their “annoying” funny ethics anywhere they find themselves. Below is my favourite single from them.
WILLY MAAME: I never heard of Willy Maame until we found his video on Twitter. I was tempted to watch the video because of 2 things. His name sounds interesting and I wanted to know the person behind the name. I also wanted to watch the video because it featured Cabum. Willy Maame has a very good sense of humour and his attachment of good story telling makes me want to listen to him all day. I have not heard much from him but first impressions does say a lot! Listen to “Adaka” featuring Cabum below.
STRONGMAN: Wati anaa??!!! Strongman burner is one of the funniest rappers on my list! The Kumasi based rapper got that maximum control over the Asante twi language and his choice of words are always rib cracking. I have a couple of Kumasi friends who got so much humour in their conversations; but I think Strongman’s way of expressing himself on a beat is always refreshing and something I believe most people like about him as well. Check out his new single below.
There are more artists I think are very hilarious but these are my top 5! You can comment below with your Top 5 too!
