Video: Charter House Should Grow Up Next Time — Akoo Nana
One thing we all expected after the Nominees for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards were announced, is people disagreeing with the songs nominating and also the categories assigned to them. These are mostly from music lovers, critics, industry professionals, engineers, and artists as well. Akoo Nana is one of the artists who expressed his displeasure publicly about the nominations and he did mention a couple of artists who he believes shouldn’t be nominated at all because his hit song “Me Yada Wo” which featured Castro made so much impact than those songs Charter House Nominated.
He said “My Song ‘me yada wo’ was the song that the Black stars were using in their camp and if a company like Charter House can not see “Me Yada Wo” and they are talking about songs like ‘Lobi’ and some Bisa Kdei songs, I dont know why they are doing that” Obviously, the “Me Yada Wo” hit maker is saying those songs are not good songs and its bias for Charter House to nominate those songs and leave him out. We are not sure if this is out of anger or he really meant every single thing he said about R2bees and Bisa Kdei.
However, Akoo Nana said this will not slow him down and he will continue to make good music and make that cash regardless. Charter House announced the nominees for this year’s VGMA on the 27th February at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra (Ghana).
