Young Kofi Taylor brings us a 7 track EP he calls “The Intersection Project” which talks a lot about who he is,where he’s coming from and where he is heading to… This project is inspired by happenings that transpired in his life as a young teen till now… He decided to put all these together and channel them through lyrical contents. He believes he will be a force to reckon with and aspiring to be the best Africa will ever experience in his Era… The HipHop artist who is currently studying Engineering Physics at the University Of Cape Coast told us music was a hobby, till it became a passion attached a very deep love story…

What he does is basically Gh hiphop and that has been his field of expertise since he decided to spread his passion for music across the world… He confessed to us that Music has been his passion since he was a little boy. “I could remember listening to Agelique Kidjoe, Westlife, Fela kuti, Usher and Celine Dion in the basement with Mom and I would try so hard to get all the words right and re-sing them like the exact same way..I grew up mostly in north Labone (close to aunty muni waakye) then moved to south labadi where im still based currently” – Young Kofi Taylor told us…

The young rapper was introduced to HipHop by his Elder brothers and had the chance to listen to the likes of Jay zand T.I. He grew fond of T.I and he became his biggest influence… He later attended St, Thomas Aquinas boys school where he met the likes of Big burn, Yung Pabi, k!Bo, Rigg Dane, Suave xl and that was when his passion for music rose to its highest peak… Performing at High School shows and awards nite, made him get to meet with other great talents as Krack gyamfi, steve Biko, Kid- black, Thug Unit boys, Boy P, Emperor and many more… This inspired and pushed him to do more because he knew there is a great competition ahead of him and he needs to put in his best to be counted among “Rappers”…

He also confessed Ace Hood became his  source of inspiration, since he could relate a lot to all he spoke about in his music; then came Kendrick Lamar whom he also admired soo much. Basically, these rappers have influenced his life a lot till date… With the local artists, he mentioned ASEM as his favourite rapper of all times and did say saluted M.I above all… “I appreciate sarkodie for putting us where we want to be seen.” – He concluded… Check out the tape below and you will be amazed!!
