Ian Jazzi “Occupy Flagstaff House” (Prod by Geonz)
Ghanaian Hip Hop artiste; Ian Jazzy drops a new single he calls “Occupy FlagStaff House” which is inspired by the recent peaceful demonstration held by the Ghanaian youths and intellectuals who are unhappy with the current economic depreciation and misuse of public funds. The Ghanaian youth thought running their mouth on social media is not going to make any positive impact regarding the problems they have with the Government.
On 1st July, they decided to hold a peaceful demonstration and present their petition to the president of Ghana; his Excellency John Dramani Mahama. This protest was supposed to be held at the Flag Staff House but the police did not allow that to happen, thus location was changed to the Efua Sutherland Children’s Park in Accra. A lot of things went on and part was disagreements between the police and the protesters.
Ian Jazzi adds his voice musically, and what he said is not too different from what I have already said earlier about the aim of the protest and what the Ghanaian youth intend to achieve after the peaceful protest. However, he sort of attacked Hon. Minister Hannah Tetteh due to an action she took on social media which most people considered as mocking the youth and degrading the protest. I cant tell if Ian Jazzi went too hard on her; but I will leave that for you to judge. Download mp3 below and keep occupying Flag Staff House! Its your civil right… Song produced by Geonz.
