Ace Producer; Hammer Not Happy With How Ghanaians React To Castro’s Case

Its been about 5 days now since Ghanaian hiplife artiste Castro was reported missing when he was alleged to have drowned whiles trying to save a female friend he was riding a JetSki with in Ada on a short vacation. The initial reports that came in said he was trying to save the said female friend who was identified as Janet Bandu after she fell off the Jet Ski into the sea. Reports said the Jet Ski was recovered with the Life Vest Castro was wearing but took sometime for the rescuers to find Castro “LIFELESS”… Ghanaians assumed indeed, the Hiplife artiste is dead and there were lots of “R.I.P” tributes flooding all social media until new reports came in that, Castro was not found as well as the female friend.

But somehow, people seem not to pay attention to the fact that since he has not been found, there is a possibility he might still survive and might be found alive… The “R.I.P” tributes kept going around on social media especially on twitter. The hash tag #Castro has been trending since 6th July to date. The most shocking part was when Castro’s Wikipedia Page was updated with his Death status just after few hours after the reports came in… Hammer of the last 2 music group took on Facebook to raise his concern about this. He wrote and I quote…

we shld all be ashamed of ourselves especially the media, pronouncing Castro dead without a body, less than an hr after going missing at sea or lake. I’m so ashamed. current might have swept him and he cld be drifting at sea. All Alone… hoping we might attempt a search. say a prayer for Castro tonight… dead or Alive

Nothing is possible and since we dont have any physical evidence that might show the hiplife artiste is dead, we can keep on holding on to faith and keep positive about it. But that is not the case of many people. Instead, people began to make “funny” cartoons trying to sort of mock the unfortunate event, whiles others are only taking advantage of the hashtag #Castro to promote their own so called “Funny Quotes”… Other little girls also pose in tight outfits with their backsides showing and add the caption “I cant Stop Crying… RIP #Castro” (Reaaly? smh)… This has become like a big joke to most people and acting like total “Douche Bags” (Excuse my language though)

Ghanaian rap artiste and radio presenter; Pope Skinny, who is also a close friend to both Janet Bandu and Castro took on to twitter to condemn all the claims about Janet being a Marine spirit and responsible for the drowning of Castro. To prove he knows the girl very well and to make a point he does not know of any spiritual issues with the girl since they were friends, he posted a few of their Facebook conversations for people to read so they know he is not making empty claims… But what he got on twitter was “Intiiii Dien” which means “And So What“… For the second time, Hammer had to address his personal opinions about people’s reactions to the issues since it gets awful and awful as the days passes by. He wrote…

What is provoking all this insensitivity… Ronny and komla died of health reasons and we mourned without disdain. Fennec was murdered in cold blood and the whole country screamed why! Yet Castro meets his demise in an accident and it’s a circus of judgement and mockery online and offline. Why? Boys for dey guard… What nonsense is this

Its very clear Castro’s issue is being addressed differently and we have lost some conscience for our brother who needs our prayer more now than ever. With my childish thoughts, I think we should add up positive energies and with one mind and one hope, we could make a miracle happen. I think that should be the biggest gift we can give to Castro after he has fed us with good music throughout the years…
