Introducing Emmanuel Nana Opoku Appiah, better known by his stage name ‘King Damz’, Ghanaian born afro beat artist based in the London is said to be the next best thing to happen to the Afrobeat scene. Gaining an interest in music at the very tender age of five, King Damz allowed his African setting and taste in African cultural tracks to influence the love and growth for creating music, having grown up in Ghana with his grandmother. Ever since, both creating and developing music has been second nature to the upcoming artist and is now powered up to take the UK Afrobeats scene by surprise.
Leaving Ghana allowed him to experience new sounds such as Hip Hop, Garage and Grime, all forms of genres which have inspired his growth in music, giving him the opportunity to record his first garage track, moving onto trap and elaborating this style into his musical path. Developing himself over the past few years grew an artist ready to release his fresh new music to the UK music scene, where his first track ‘One Night’ became the first chapter to his rebranded career back in June 2013. This will in fact be released this summer surfacing the re-launch of his music career.
