Watch This: Flash Africa’s Interview With Samini

The African dancehall king; Emmanual Andrew Samini a.k.a. Samini for short, had a one on one interview with Flash Africa; and he spoke about his early days, motivations, inspirations and ofcourse who he wants to have a one on one stage battle with… Samini said in the interview he started his musical career at the age of 14 years whiles growing up in Dansoman, a suburb of Accra. He had the opportunity to meet most of the stars those days even before some made their first hits. Some of the artistes he mentioned includes EX Doe, Former VIP (Now VVIP), Akyeame, and others who rocked our stages back in the days…

Samini did say the confidence he had as a musician came as a result of him growing up in Dansoman where most of the recording studios were located back in the days. When asked why he changed his name from Batman to Samini, he simply said its because he wants to be original and unique on any platform he finds himself and that was also a positive thing for his branding process. Samini has performed on stage with a lot of international artistes including Damien Marley, Busy Signal, Mavado and a lot more!

He confessed he wont have any problem battling with any dancehall artistes from other countries on stage and those artistes must be the finest the country ever had. But In Ghana, “He Pass That Stage” and none of the dancehall artiste could catch up with the level. Even with the international artistes, he said they must have all the belts he got through his career before the can stand a chance of doing the battle thing with him on stage.

I think the African dancehall king is really keeping his level and you need to get your hands well washed before sitting at the same table with him… Watch the full interview below… Enjoy!
