MinnaFreestyleFriday Hits The Third Gear
Its a new day,New Month and a New episode of MinnaFreestyleFriday and officially we wish you wonderful new month. The freestyle friday show was back after a 2week shutdown to resume on operation on its 3rd edition and it came back rejuvenated, freestyling and now have two other media partners
in “Loud Sound Ghana and Krypticz Gang“…
The Show got off to a slow start due to unforeseen circumstances and the crew worked tirelessly to make the show a success and “Mzee“,the man behind the mic throughout the show in his usual way got the ball rolling and oozed the freestyle the crowd came for and notably got the crowd anticipating for the next comment/punchline… He asked of the opinion of some people from the crowd, to which a rep. From “4D Entertainment” made cool remarks about the show and gradually ushered in the rappers who took to the “Mic” to spit lyrically and wow the crowd;who were involved in the rating of the performance of each rapper to avoid the possibility of biasness from the “powers that be…”
There were familiar faces from the last edition but the crowd were the judges for this one and they duly eliminated some guys who lacked the originality and creativity of our Star Man “AKB” who has been consistent with his performance;Did I say AKB? Yea,AKB was around but was on a different mission other than rap battle because he has been handed the berth of a semi final…he gave his fans something to cheer about and watched afterwards.
There was a dance performance by “De New Folks” which kept the crowd entertained till the President of National Asocial Science Students in FUTMinna (Federal University of Technology,Minna. Niger State) spoke briefly and showed the crowd one of the parts he possesses as a human,Dancing and undoubtedly made his fellow students proud.
The Essence of the night kicked off when “Vinee” took to the mic to lash out at “Fasasi” who was his opponent for this edition and its was quite interesting and pitiful to an extent because the facial impression told the stories of the “INsIdE” of fasasi and vinee;they maintained the maturity to respond accordingly, not forgetting that there were performances from “Krazylee“, the winner in the maiden edition and benydee. The notable tweaks to the 3rd edition was the visible “freestyle Friday Official” tags dangling on the necks of a few crew members to ease the problem of identification and its Up to You to anticipate the Semi-final Stage in the coming weeks. We the freestyle Friday crew beg of your support in anyway possible to keep the show going and hopefully expand the ideas to other areas.
