KOBLA (@ItsKOBLA) – The “God Over Everything (G.O.E)” Mixtape

62

In a musical era where the order of the day for artistes is to release singles hoping to generate some heat to cash in on, it is difficult to find true musical talents like KOBLA who aren’t nine-day wonders looking to get lucky with a song. In a bid to demonstrate and prove his lyrical prowess and artistry, KOBLA is set to release a fourteen-track mixtape early next month.
KOBLA is a young talented Madina based rapper. Being in the music business for years definitely comes with some wealth of experience which he has well gathered under his belt and plans to give to fans in the form of beautiful rhythms and brilliant word play. Be it freestyle or written rap, KOBLA flows so well there’s no questioning his gift.
After releasing mixtapes with his former group D-Cap, this would be his first solo mixtape. The title “God Over Everything” was inspired by life experiences that had triggered a realization in the affirmative, which the captivatingly deep Hip-Hop title track produced by PL Swing well expains. Aside an Intro, Interlude and Outro, as well as a bonus track, the mixtape would host 14 other songs, some of which are already enjoying some heavy rotation on the airwaves. Highlife-flavored “3s3 W’ara” gets music lovers of all ages grooving. Riding on a beautiful Usher Beats production, the love theme in this well crafted and delivered song is absolutely refreshing. It’s definitely one of the songs on the mixtape you would fall in love with. “I Rule” comes at you with tight lines and chorus that set the record straight on a mellow Hip-Hop instrumental with an electronic jazzy feel to it produced by Madis, one of Croatia’s dopest sound engineers.with Godkyd dijoe on the chorus, KOBLA flexes his lyrical muscles on this one. If you’re not a fan, that should either scare you or make you one. KOBLA  brings Kevin Beats aboard a banging SkayDee beat in “Twi No” to talk about ‘cars’, apparently a topic a lot of guys enjoy as reflected in the response to the song. Whether it’s the childhood memories it evokes or the adult time experiences it plays on, “Bola Bird”, another Madis production, is another track a lot of people would relate and bop to. Passionate about society, KOBLA plans to take on humanitarian projects that would aim at eradicating poverty and hunger in Africa. He has a track on the mixtape dedicated to the cause called “Bread For Africa” and hopes it gets enough push to help propagate the message it preaches. Riding on a Reggae rhythm produced by Usher Beats, this song cuts across genres and would be enjoyed by everybody. Other producers on the project are Deep Beat and Grandmaster Oak
A lot of work was put into producing the “G.O.E” mixtape and we encourage everybody who supports good music to get a copy and spread the word.

Video for “In The End”, off the “God Over Everything” mixtape, was  released on the 26th of January 2013. Do check it out…
